Das nennt TomTom "Customer Care"!!!
Für mich war das das letzte Produkt dieser Firma das ich gekauft habe.
So was in der Art hab ich zuvor noch nicht erlebt und für das Verhalten seitens TomTom
hab ich leider keinerlei Verständnis.
Mir ist die Art und Weise wie eine Firma ihre Produkte gegen Softwarepiraterie schütz eigentlich völlig egal.
Nur es darf niemals ein rechtmäßiger Eigentümer daran gehindert werden das Produkt zu nutzen.
Das war für mich das letzte mal das ich eine Software von TomTom gekauft habe.
Hab Ihr ähnliche Erfahrungen gesammelt? Vielleicht kann man ja da mal mit vereinten Kräften was bewegen?
Naja, hier der Original Mailverkehr in chronologischer Reihenfolge.
Mail 1 an TomTom :
i bought TomTom Navigator 2 from Ebay. So the first owner
activated his device once. So i activated the software the second
time on my old
ipaq. unfortunately the speaker at my old ipaq does not work anymore
and i decided to buy a new Dell Axim wich arrived today. but i
cant activate the software and in the end of the week i will drive
for vacation.
if you could help me fast i would very apreciate it.

TomTom Navigator 2 requires online software activation. All copies
of TomTom Navigator 2 are sold with a product code. This product
code can
be used to activate the software on two devices. Second hand TomTom
Navigator 2 products are likely to have already been activated once
or
more by the first buyer and the product code may therefore no longer
be valid. For this reason we advise our customers not to purchase
TomTom Navigator 2 second hand. If you have already purchased a
second
hand TomTom Navigator 2 product and cannot activate the software, we
suggest you return it to the seller.

Mail 2 an TomTom :
Dear support Team,
I cant return my tomtom Navigator 2 software to the seller because i
bought it second hand as i wrote in the mail before. Fact is, that i
am the legal owner of the Navigator 2 software and i am not able to
use it because of your copy protection system. I legaly bought it
and of course i will legaly use it. There is nothing on the package
that says "you are only able to use this software on only 2 diffrent
devices", is there? I was a big fan of tomtom navigation products
from
the beginning. But if "buying it once again" is your only advice, i
will never buy a tomtom product again.

After installing navigator 2 on your first device.You can install
navigator on a second device this is only possible once 7 days after
the first activation. Please read our activation polisy on the

Dear tomtom team,
why dont you read und understand all my mails? Is there a robot who
answers the mails? I know your activation thing pretty much, beleve
me. But i am a legal customer and i bought your product with real
money. I only want to use my software that´s what i bought it for.
I don´t care of wich way you choose to protect your software but a legal
owner of the programm must be able to use it. Don´t you agree with me.
So please read my email this time and give me a solution for my
problem.

We are very sorry we wil not activate your software for a 3th time. You can not get a new activation code for another 51 days After 51 days you can activate for a 3th time.

Nach meinem Rechtsempfinden ist das hochgradig illegal und fördert nicht gerade die zufriedenheit treuer Kunden.
Was haltet ihr davon?
