A few questions

    Sorry to post in English (I hope it is allowed but I'm Dutch und es tut mir leit but I can not speak or write German only read it a bit :().


    Since a week I have a Medion 150 and I like it very much.


    I just register on this forum and did read a bit ... I have a few questions about the Medion 150 baught at Trekpleister in the Netherlands :


    • Is it possible to watch mpeg or another extension movie fragment on the Medion 150 ? and if so with what program/software ?
    • Is it possoble to put in a 1 GB card in stead off the standard 256 mb ? ... can not find if there is a "memory maximum" for theMedion 150.
    • Is it possible to use this filemanager on the Medion 150 ?


    Sorry for the English and maybe stupid questions but I am a newbee with this and bought the Medion 150 in fact ONLY FOR NAVIGATION but I was curious if there is more possible with this "machine".

    Hello Roel,


    please try to identify your device using this table . You will find the MD-No. on the backside of the MDPNA 150. Depending on the releases there are different ways to activate desktop and taskbar. After that you are normally able to use betaplayer for watching movies or listening to MP3-Files instantly :)

    Ooops I forgot: I personally recommend the TotalCommander as a very small-spaced file-managing tool. Indeed I have to admit not to know your tool. Try to install it via ActiveSync - perhaps you'll be lucky with it ;)

    first of all we should know which Version of Medion 150 you do have.
    On the back side of the device is a white sticker and there should be the version
    number on it starting with MD95xxx.
    Does your device starts with a screen where you have the choice between MP3 player, navigation and settings or is the navigation software automatically started when you switch on the device?
    Normally the device is intended only for navigational purposes and in the case of one or two versions additionally as an MP3 player.
    If you like to use it to view movies or use it as a PDA you will have to modify a few things, but its varies with the version of the device.
    You may take a look on this thread in the forum (only german I´m sorry) if you do have the one without the choice of MP3-player in the beginning.

    Some users did report here that 1GB sd-cards did work, some had problems even with 512mb cards.

    Yes it is possible with your release. The solution was based on a MD 95058 bought and used in the Netherlands.

    Oke Johnny thx ... I will now look for the software where to download and the go to the intructions.

    - Pocket version

    OK, I have to admit there was one point missing in my instructions as I considered it for natural:


    Installation screen of TotalCommander pops up on your device twice:


    First Screen is the warning, saying "Old Version may not work, do you really want to install this?" - Say YES


    Second screen indicates the location the program will be installed. As you have actually no chance to change something in it => Just press the jog once and the default data will be used.


    Continue with the instructions shown there ;)
