Atmos VDO-Pn6000 EXtended Menu (Beta release )

    Hallo
    Mn 7 startet in englischer sprache , und läst sich nicht ins deutsch umschalten,, in general settings fehlt einfach diese option , ordner language files ist vorhanden mit deutscher datei dabei,,,,, woran liegt es?


    die engliche version lauft einwand frei

    lösch doch einfach die eng. files..und schau was passiert..
    german muss "ger-DEU_480_272.lng" vorhanden sein.

    hatte kurz das gleiche Problem.


    Hier die Lösung: im Ordner Sounds muß die Deutsche Stimme z.B. ger-DEU_Petra_sound.nfs
    mit drin sein, ist das dann der Fall kannst du auch im Einstellungs-Menü von Navigon die Sprache umstellen!

    Ich habe es jetzt gebacken gekriegt mit der Version 7.0.5.Hatte jetzt mal die Quartal 4 2008 Karten dazu gemacht und das lief auch.Hatte dann das Gerät mal resetted und bekomme jetzt einen Fehler,wenn ich MN7 starten will.

    So hab das jetzt mal alles neu installiert bis auf die Karten und nun scheint es wieder zu starten.Irgendwo muss aber ein fehler sein,denn wenn ich Tag/Nachtansicht wähle,crasht es auch. :(

    soweit ich weiß, funktioniert die Tag/Nachtumschaltung nicht bei Navigon 7.0.....


    Erst ab Version 7.3 funktioniert es!

    Pre-final release (that should be Final) is ready and seems run well, but I've some other problems recently...

    Atmos VDO-E-M pre-final release:




    This extended menu work with the original VDO software, permit to use another navigation software at the same time because I have managed to split the Gps signal in other ports and permit to use all the original software (like dvb-t ) without problems.
    To try to avoid problems this menu work with a copy of ResidentFlash files in our memory card, will work also with the original path residentflsh and probably with this option device should be faster but for now it's better this way.
    For this reasons do not extract your memory card when device is on.

    Remenber this seems a stable version but use to your own risk and report your feedback.

    In Original Vdo software (you must use vdo skin " Ipo2" in Setting>>Screen>>Colors>>Ipo2 to have a skin correspondence with the Atmos VDO-E-M)


    Now we can launch VDO-E-M with the original software:

    I had to replace the MP3 VDO Player but you can launch this software in my extended menu.
    (However a multiplayer like TCPMP is certainly better)

    Navigation page: Minor change than beta 2
    In this page there's a "VDO icons" this button active-disactive original VDO navigation software, in fact rename (with a security question) the original VDO maps, with this hack VDO original navigation software don't work (because don't finds maps) but uses much less ram.
    (useful if you don't want use VDO original navigation software but with the original VDO launch software)
    If you have renamed the folders, using the same button navigation folder will renamed to its original name (you must Off/On device then)

    Multimedia page: new "change screen" button with this button you can change skin on my extended menu, if you want change the original vdo skin you must do manually in Setting>>Screen>>Colors>>


    (I had to replace the VDO Video Player but you can launch this software with the original software, however a multiplayer like TCPMP is certainly better)


    By default we have the atmos skin that match the IPO2 skin of the original vdo software, the other skin is the new CLOSEDone skin (see bottom of the page)


    If you want other skin like the CLOSEDone in the MCVDO please let me know.

    The button "Registry" changes the initial loading routine to "installation-mode" (more simple) to "normal-mode" (more light) and return in "installation-mode" if there are some registry problem.


    Delete registry button cleans registry, if turn Off device, then remove the SD with Atmos VDO-E-M (or insert the original SD) and turn ON your VDO return like an original (Note that every not original program used usually leaves small registry traces).
    The gps split programs runs automatically but i leave a "Gps Port" button that launch the new gps splitting software, you can change setting but i suggest to leave everything as set.


    Now you can connect several gps software to GPS port "com 1" (in some software "virtual port com 0") and use software like PoiObserver with the original VDO navigation softaware, if you deactive the new splitting gps software you can use GPS port "com 0" but VDO original navigation software will not work.

    Obviously, if some programs don't work you'll need to put programs and links that I have not put in this Package.


    Installation:


    The installation is more easy:


    1) Copy on the root of your memory card the files content in "Atmos VDO-E-M" folder (if you have other software folder you can leave).


    1b) Obviously if you want use the original VDO navigation software , copy the Map of the original VDO SD in the SD you are using.


    2) Copy the ResidentFlash in a folder in the root of memory card with the same name ("ResidentFlash") , if you have not access to this folder you can copy the folder after with the menu installed (4b).


    3) Reset and Turn On device, do no touch anything before all programs are loaded.


    4) You should see the original software, you can launch extended menu with a new button instead od MP3 player, set in the original software: Setting>>Screen>>Colors>>Ipo2 to have a skin correspondence with the Atmos VDO-E-M.


    4b) If you have not previously copied ResidentFlash to your sd, the installation routine launch the extended menu and you can use Total Commander in "application page" to do this, then turn OFF and ON device.


    5) If menu run well, use "registry" button in "system page" then Ok now you have set the sistem in "normal-mode", Turn OFF (with a prolongued pressure of on/off button) and ON.


    Note: if you have changed some registry keys you can use again "registry" button that switch initial routine to "installation-mode".


    This installation is useful for people who have used other application like systeminformation or have used the MC-VDO because the firts installation clean and rewrites all registry keys.


    I've not a TMC/Bluetooth cradle and I can't test but i think that there's a way to use TMC with others navigations software, if someone want test with me I'll try to resolve also this issue.

    With this release our friend CLOSEDone (CLOSy) has maked a beatiful skin for the original VDO software , I've only arranged some things for an easy installation.

    in this folder ==> sdmmc disk\ResidentFlash\navigation\Img\Skins in "ResidentFlash" that you have copied on your sd.
    Now go in VDO software Setting>>Screen>>Colors>> and set CLSY skin.
    I've used a CLOSEDone skin also for my extended menu, you can use this new skin with the "change skin" button in VDO-E-M multimedia page.
    (I could copy the CLOSEDone VDO skin automatically but this need a heavy routine).
