Atmos VDO-Pn6000 EXtended Menu (Beta release )

  • @atmos:

I have tested now Igo8 without running the portsplitter (Igo8 is on com0 and 57600 baud) - seems tu run better without losing GPS. One thing i see now, is that the screen refreshes visible every ~40-60 seconds (screen is dark for 0.5 second)- but this is not a big problem for me.

It would be great if you are able to create a small menu or installation procedure for Igo8 only - i don't really want to use the original navigation software :(

Brightness control seems to work better without portsplitter (now updating in 3D mode is within ~10 seconds).

    Thanks,
    dreamy1

  • Minutes ago the following problem occured:

Within the extended menu, a message appeared that the battery is empty (PNA was on ac charger). After clicking ok, the extended menu disappeared and is no longer visible.

And the visible refreshing every ~30-60 seconds does also appear in the normal vdo menü. Seems to be the deactivated portsplitter.

  • Ok the GPS problem is related to "port splitter" I'll try to resolve this issue...

If you want only IGO8 without the original navigation software this is the easiest way:

Change the GPS otuput port (with my packege you already have gps port to com 0)

With total commander rename in \ResidentFlash\Games (if you don't want use the residentFlash copied folder in SD) sudoku.exe in oldsudoku.exe then put this files:

    http://www.megaupload.com/it/?d=MR2DJW3U

    in the same folder.

Now rename or delete the vdoservice.exe in the root of Sd (If you want you can delete all except igo8 folder) OFF-ON and you can use igo8 with the button sudoku in games menu of the original software.

If you want to use the original navigation software you must re-change the gps port, if you want I'll make an other automatized procedure maybe using the blockbuster button :gap

    Let me know

Normal, this battery message hide the menu (only the main menu with a tiny button, if active, is always on the top)

I think this is a minor issue, i can delete this message but I think it is not necessary...

Yes when port splitter is inactive and not closed there's this refreshing...

  • Hello to all my off Port splitter.Igo8 connects to the port 0 baud 38400. It loses more signal but the screen flashes very quickly from time to time

  • Hello atmos,

thanks a lot for this quick support :)

    Just a few questions:
If i have an original Pn6000 (without your extended menu), what would i have to do to implement the procedure to get igo8 running on the sudoku button? I want to reinstall the original VDO menu because i have made too much tests and changing setting....so the system would be new :)

As i see, your solution would at first have your extended menu to be installed (to get the total commander and make the gps port settings). I am not sure at the moment what to do with the GPS settings: do i have to use the portsplitter again? That would not be possible if all folders except igo8 on the sd card are deleted. Or is the vdoservice.exe you gave me the renamed portsplitter.exe?

It would be great if you can give me a step-by-step manual how to implement this on a brandnew PN 6000 :)

Please give me some more informations what happens with the GPS settings....thanks in advance!

    Thanks,
