habe mir mal mit einem Kollegen zusammen folgendes zusammengereimt und bei Garmin plaziert:

Ladies and Gentlemen,

first of all i´d like to say, that i´m very satisfied with my Garmin c330s! The new Software 4.80 is running fine!

Please understand the following lines only as a proposal to improve the performance of the unit:
I recognized problems with the detection of the actual position while driving through tunnels, for about 100 meters ore more.
The arrow, which shows the actual position does not follow the road - it continues the last direction - which takes it to nowhere, if the Road doesn´t go straight on.

After a few seconds, you´ll get a message "lost satellite".

couldn't you just register those tunnel areas, to let the unit know, that it will loose the satellite connection soon and then simply follow the road with the usual speed until the satellite connection is back after leaving the tunnel?

Hallo Archie,

ich verstehe nicht ganz den Unterschied zwischen "auf die Autobahn klicken" und "knapp neben die Autobahn klicken" ?!?!

Wenn du nicht gerade unglücklich zwischen Autobahn und eine andere Straße klickst sollte das Routen in jedem Fall klappen
und umständlicher als vorher ist es doch auch nicht - oder habe ich was falsch verstanden?

Ich finde die Idee eigentlich gar nicht so schlecht!
- direkt auf die Straße klicken + Los = direkte Navigation
- neben die Straße Klicken + Los = schnelle Speicherung der Position

Einzige Alternative wäre meines Erachtens gewesen in dem Fenster, wo ich die Position bestimme direkt einen Button "Speichern" einzubauen - das ging aber vermutlich nicht so einfach, da der Platz mit den 3 Buttons "zurück", "Los", und "Position" bereits ausgereitzt war.
Der Trick das dann nach drücken von "Los" nach auf- bzw. neben die Straße klicken zu lösen ermöglicht beides: schnellen Navigationsstart u n d schnelle Speicherung eines markierten Punktes auf der Karte mit wenigen Klicks!

Wie würdest du dir denn die Funktion(en) wünschen?

In einem Punkt gebe ich dir natürlich voll und ganz Recht: Diese Funktion gehört dokumentiert/kommuniziert!!!!!

Sorry, der c320 konnte es bisher eh nicht!
Ich glaube Flipper meinte allerdings, es gäbe evtl. eine Chance, daß das mit einem Softwareupdate irgendwann später ermöglicht werden könnte?!?!

die Antwort von Garmin ist leider eindeutig - der c330 (ohne "s" sprich: ohne SD-Kartenslot) kann keine PLZ-Navigation - sorry!

Hallo Gemeinde (insbesondere Archie!),

ich hatte nochmal bei Garmin nachgehakt wegen dem Speichern aus der Karte! zur Erinnerung: Der Supporter war der Meinung, man könnte direkt aus der Karte einen Punkt markieren, "LOS" drücken und bekäme dann einen "Speichern"-Button, um die Position in die Favoriten aufzunehmen. Da ich das nicht nachvollziehen konnte (kein Speichern-Button, siondern sofortiger Start der Zielführung!) habe ich das nochmal so kundgetan.
Die Antwort ist der Hammer!!!
Es geht nämlich doch

Der Springende Punkt:
Man muß N E B E N die Straße klicken und dann LOS drücken - siehe da - der Speichern-Button erscheint :achdufresse
Da soll einer drauf kommen - ich Depp habe natürlich immer brav A U F die Straße geklickt (und ich fürchte, nicht ich alleine)...

Nevertheless i still have 2 questions:

1) i´m sorry, but it is not possible to save a favorite the way you described for FW 4.70/4.80! You won´t get a "save" button" after clicking "go" in the "browse map" screen! I think, the only way now is to click "position" (only in demo mode!), than jump back to the favorites and press "save"! This is not quite handy!
In the Version <=4.60 You got the "save" button" right after clicking "info" in the "browse map" screen! Are you going to fix that?

Hello Rainer,

1) You need to point to a location off road because if you point on to a road it is going to to start routing you to that point. If you point off road then the option to save will be there. The purpose of this is to save off road locations ie camp sites.

... ich hatte diesen Effekt "keine Stimme" zunächst auch - bis ich bemerkte, daß Frau Garmin nur nicht wie gewohnt im Demomodus sofort vom Start weg losplapperte, sondern erst bei der ersten Abbiege Laut gab - hat sich da vielleicht generell was geändert?

2 Dumme, 1 Gedanke

Ein c330s unterscheidet sich von einem c330 nur durch den vorhandenen Kartenslot!

Mehr Unterschiede sind mir jedenfalls nicht bekannt.

Interressanterweise meldet sich mein c330s im Startbildschirm nur als c330 (siehe Bild)

Um so mehr wundert es mich, daß die PLZ-Suche beim c330 nicht funktionieren soll

Ich glaube, die Version 4.80 gibt Flipper recht - noch kein geposteter Absturz und bestimmt zig User mit zig geladene POI´s! Da sollte es doch wohl an was Anderem gelegen haben, oder?
