Könnte man für das o.g. Programm von Route 66 einen eigenen Thread einrichten.
Da ich bestimmt nicht der einzige sein werde, der in der nächsten Zeit mit dem Handy navigieren wird, werden bestimmt das eine und andere Problem auftreten.
Mein Handy ist ein NOKIA 6600. Das Mobile Deutschland 2005 (Bluetooth) kommt ende des Monats dazu.
Erfahrungsberichte von mir sind dann selbstverständlich garantiert.

Dabei ist auch erwähnt, dass das Siemens SX1 unterstützt wird.

Klingt nett. Ob es eine Alternative zu PDA geführter Navigation sein kann? Warten wir mal die ersten Erfahrungsberichte ab 
In 3-4 Monaten kann ich mir wieder vertragsmäßig ein neues Handy aussuchen und vielleicht wird es auch ein SX1 (McLaren)

Hab auch schon ueberlegt, hab im Moment ei P800 und werd mir so um Oktober-November ein neues suchen. Aber McLaren SX1? Wird man da nicht ueberall ausgelacht?
Ich hatte an einem MDAIII oder ein Motorola MPX gedacht, oder vielleicht doch ein Series60 Phone? Das SX1 ist ja nicht schlecht, aber unglaublich traege.

Das waer ja noch schoener. Wenn das mal nicht peinlich waer. Ich sollte vorsichtig sein, vielleicht gibt hier militante Schumi-Fans. Ich hab das SX1 heut in der "Music"-Version in schawrz gesehen, sah sehr schick aus.

Weiß jemand ob Mobile 2005 "nur" von der mitgelieferten MMc läuft, oder ob man das Programm auf eine schon vorhandene größere MMC umkopieren kann.
Wäre ja nicht sehr sinnvoll immer mehrere MMC mit sich rumschleppen zu müssen und wenn ichs Programm benutzen will muss ich auch noch MMC wechseln.

Da die MMC keine Sicherheitsfunktion hat (wie SD) sollte es "eigentlich" gehen ;). Ich kann mich nur noch ganz schwach daran erinner, das in der c't stand, das die Software beim ersten mal die Verbindung mit dem Server aufnimmt und die Registrierung durchführt.

irgendwie witzig. Genau das war meine Frage an den Route 66 Support, auf die ich bis heute keine Antwort erhalten habe. Ich hatte übrigens auf Englisch und Deutsch gefragt. Ich hätte nämlich ebenfalls ein Problem, falls die Software nur auf der mitgelieferten MMC läuft, da ich die 32 MB MMC von Nokia mit SMS, MMS, Filmen, Bildern, Tönen und ähnlichem schon gut gefüllt habe und das allein schon aus Platzgründen gar nicht mehr in den Handyspeicher umlagern könnte. Aber erst kaufen und dann festellen es geht nicht ist auch blöd. Sind ja immerhin 250 Euro nur für die Software. Laut Xonio Mitteilung plant ja TomTom etwas ähnliches, auch wieder direkt von der MMC. Vermutlich wird man da nie eine Antwort bekommen und muss auf einen Händler hoffen, der es einen ausprobieren lässt...

Also ich versteh auch nicht warum die nicht antworten. Ich hab auch schon an den Support gemailt, aber bis jetzt auch keine Antwort. Und bevor ich 250 Euro ausgeht, und ein Sonderangebot ist das jetzt ja auch wieder nicht, würd ich das schon gerne vorher wissen. Mir wärs eh am liebsten die Software kommt auf CD daher, denn die RS-MMC brauch ich eh nicht und bezahl sie so nur unnötig mit.
Also liebe Leute vom Support (ihr lest hier ja eh mit, gell) bitte beantwortet euren Käufern doch die Frage, denn bevor ich das nicht weiß kauf ich auch nicht !

Gestern ist nun endlich Post aus Holland gekommen.
Nachdem Route 66 meine Kreditkarte schon 5 Tage vorher belastet hat, habe ich das Paket auch schon sehnsüchtig erwartet
Hier also nun ein kleiner erster Erfahrungsbericht...
Die Verpackung enthält die 256 MB MMC Karte, eine kurze Anleitung im DIN-A4-Format, den GPS-Empfänger mitsamt Akku, Trageschlaufe und das KFZ-Ladegerät. Ein "normales" Ladegerät für die Steckdose, habe ich allerdings vergeblich gesucht - genauso wie eine etwas ausführlichere Anleitung... Dieses eine Blatt ist doch etwas dürftig, zumal mir viele Funktionen erklärungsbedürftig erscheinen. Muss halt die Trial-and-Error-Methode ranhalten
Als weiterer negativer Punkt wäre zu nennen, dass nur eine Support Email-Adresse angegeben ist. Telefonisch kann man R66 wohl nicht erreichen!?
So nun mal genug Negatives gennant.
Die Installation ist wirklich kinderleicht. Einfach die Karte ins Handy und schon erscheint das Route 66 Symbol im Hauptmenü. Beim ersten Start verlangt das Programm einen Produktschlüssel, welcher auch auf dem Anleitungsblatt steht. Dieser wird per SMS gesendet und ebenfalls per SMS wird dann der Aktivierungscode emfpangen. Bei mir hat das allergings mit O2 nicht auf anhieb geklappt. Ich habe den Code dreimal gesendet und stundenlang ist nichts zurückgekommen.
Ich habe dann meine E+ SIM-Karte eingesetzt und dasselbe nochmals versucht. Bereits nach wenigen Sekunden kam hier der Aktivierungscode.
Vielleicht kann hier noch jemand Probleme mit O2
bestätigen?! 
Zum Programm selber ist zu sagen, dass es manchmal ziemlich träge reagiert und einige Male ist es mir auch schon abgestürzt. Bei der Navigation hinkt der Pfeil schonmal einige Meter hinterher. Während ich längt schon abgebogen war, war der Standortpfeil noch immer vor der Kurve. Die Ansagen kommen jedoch zur richtigen Zeit....
Die erste Testfahrt ist also im Großen und Ganzen erfolgreich verlaufen. R66 hat mich sicher ans Ziel geführt. An die Stimme muss ich mich allerdings noch gewöhnen. Da war mir die freundliche junge Stimme von TomTom doch viel lieber 
Was ich hingegen noch nicht herausgefunden habe, ist wie man zu bestimmten Hausnummern in Straßen navigiert. Ich habe es bisher nur geschafft in die entsprechende Straße zu gelangen, aber bei Eingabe der Hausnummer in das Suchfeld bringt er jedesmal die Fehlermeldung, dass er den Suchort nicht gefunden hat.
Vielleicht bin ich auch einfach zu blöd dafür und werde es noch herausfinden!?
Zum Kartenmaterial ist noch zu sagen, dass es wohl nicht dasselbe wie in TomTom 3 ist, bzw. nicht so aktuell. Straßen bei mir in der Nähe die in TomTom3 dabei waren, gibt es bei R66 nicht...
Positv sind dann auf jeden Fall noch die wirklich vielen Einstellmöglichkeiten zu erwähnen, die auch alle prima funktionieren
Ob es möglich ist, das Programm auf eine 512 MB Karte zu kopieren und es von dort auszuführen, kann ich leider nicht testen, da ich so eine große Karte leider nicht mein Eigen nenne 
So ich denke nun ist erstmal genug gesagt...
