HIER ! Der vielleicht erste Warnprogramm für MB Notebook

  • Yes, and the speedlimit sign as well.

To answer the previous question on the ini files, the only thing of interest I found is to add the following line: ShowSecuHint = 0 in the [NCK] section of prefs.ini, this remove the warning box at the start of the program.

  • Hello!

    Thanks for your answer!

Which values did you edit? Because I use my own bar and my bar is a little bit bigger (about 45px). Thanks in advance!

  • I added 35 in mapviewlt.ini to the y = values of:

    [speedrestriction]

    [signpostinfo]

    [pan]

    [north]

    [align=center]

    [route]

    [birdview]

    [auto]

    [zoomout]

    [zoomwin]

    [zoomin]

In your case you would just add 45 (or whatever is necessary).

By the way, I realized that any image that is called by the program is embedded in NCK.exe but each image can be replaced by any image of our own if stored in Skins\NCK5 folder. I reconstructed the main background image (NCK5Landscape.bmp) with the logo placed 20px down so that it does not interfere (I know I'm just a maniac). Picture is here: http://philch.free.fr/files/nck5/nck5landscape.zip
Sorry, I've only done it for NCK5 not 4.

  • Great work! And thanks for that info, I'm a perfectionist too ;)

By the way... could you publish the NCK background image with the logo put 45px down? But only if this isn't too much work for you (probably you have saved some PSD files?!)... thanks so far.

I want to add something: with NCK it is possible to export the navigation arrows to handle with them. What I'm actually doing is to show such navigation arrows on the FIS (FahrerInformationsSystem) in the cluster of my car :)

If you have any more advices how to optimize NCK please let me know :)

Waooh! This is quite a project. Have you actually managed to do it? I know external call to NCK is possible but I did not expect to be able to interface it with a proprietary system like a car FIS. How do you do it (via a serial interface or something?)

I soon as I find some time, I will do it. The thing is the shade gradient of the picture is a pain to recreate, my previous modification was not perfect and I'm afraid enlarging the area may not come too nice but I'll try.

I'm sure you know about the tracking option (it's in the manual) which not only permit to record a trace on non-digitalized road but also can record any route you will follow along with GPS coordinates.

The other thing interesting is to add the raw position from the GPS mouse (represented by a brown dot on the map). The dot is most of the time within the arrow but as the program use an algorythm mainly to keep you on the road, sometimes you're moving off-road but the arrow stays fixed on the nearby road. You will see with this dot the real position send by the GPS mouse.

Just add in [Mapview] section of prefs.ini the following 2 lines:
    RawGPS = 000070
    ShowRawGPS = 1

You can change 000070 to 00FF00 to change the dot color to green (same as the arrow) so that you will see the difference between arrow and real position only when there is a difference.

  • hallo,

  • Hallo@all

  • Hallo!
