New ROM P5x3x_-_ROM_K2.8_E1.3 question

Hi guys,
I am new here, I was playing with my P5430 and changed Menu.exe,
with a new one, which is a Mortscript file, by mistake the .mscr file
points to SDMMC instead of Storage Card and as a result my Medion
just hangs on welcome screen and cannot connect to PC.
My question is about the new ROM version, in original registry in Launch97
is CertInitMFC.exe, but I cannot find this file in a new ROM, is this service
going to be missing from the new installation?
Can someone explain, please, why changing the Menu.exe does not let me connect to PC?

Mu original idea was to run SystemInformation.exe skin from Mio Simple Unlock, the modified Menu.exe from mortscript and Menu.mscr,
were supposed to start the skin from SD card. Do you know which windows process calls this Menu.exe?
In the past a was using 4.3" Tevion GPS, which had SDMMC card instead of Storage Card, I was so sure that these unit were
of similar design, that I bricked the Medion.
Another thing, Tevion's ROM has got 5 files NK.bin, TINYNK.bin, DRIVERS.bin, CHAIN.bin and CHAIN.lst, I could actually replace the original process file GPSMc.exe with nfrun script to start explorer, when I bricked my Tevion, but this new ROM has got a bit different format and it has NK.bin, TINYNK.bin and CHAIN.bin inside one file, my skills are not that advanced to deal with this problem.
Is there somewhere the original K2.5.E1.2 ROM available for download?

I do not have the original GoPal software and am not sure if the new rom is going to fix my
problem.

execute whatever is in .nfrun, manual in German included:

OK I flashed the new P5x3x ROM to my unit, I fixed the problem and is starting to my SystemInformation.exe Skin from MioPocket 4.0 Release 66

Problems after installation:
1 no sound for about 5 minutes,
2 windows\explorerer.exe doesnt run when you double click on it, I am using CECMD.exe as file manager.

I was not happy with the explorer situation, so I copied explorer.exe from MioPocket 4.0 Release 66\MioAutorun\System\CE4
to windows directory on Medion, pressed the little reset button under ON/OFF switch, this is the so called SoftReset and the windows
explorer is running.
Next step I added this explorer.exe directly to the ROM/Firmware, I had to rename the original explorer.exe to exploree.exe and then
copied the new one to NK.bin, I also had to add explorer.exe to the registry, in H_Key_Local_Machine\Init\Launch50
Lunch50 had originally nothing in it, just "", I had to remove CertInitMFC.exe from Launch97 because the original registry file
default.fdf has to be the same size or smaller, when replaced.
I also replaced StopBT.exe in ROM with StopBT.exe from nfrunner script, together with StopBT.nfrun, wit only one command in it:
RUN "\My Flash Disk\menu.exe"
The results:
When my Medion restarts, it restarts to Windows CE Desktop, unfortunately the explorrer is a bit buggy, no descriptions on taskbar
nor start menu but My Device and Recycle Bin links, are on the desktop, when you double click on My Device it takes you to windows
explorer file manager, again, no descriptions on top bar, you have to imagine that there are 5 buttons there and they work.
When you copy the explorer from MioPocket to windows ce folder and soft-reset the desktop looks OK, the same is with windows explorer
file manager.
After I copy menu.exe and menu.nfrun across to My Flash Disk together with MioPocket Skin folder I have got my MioPocket interface
With links to whatever software you have on your SD card or My Flash Disk. FREEDOM!

there is no need to put all three files on SD card to flash new ROM/firmware.
One file the biggest, G500B_OS.bin is the operating system, second G500B_EB.nb0 is an eboot and the third
G500_NF.en, I do not know what is it, maybe something to do with the format of My Flash Disk.
I put only G500B_OS.bin on SD and it loaded without affecting any files on My Flash Disk,
tested it with two versions of rom P543x K2.8.E1.3 and P543x K2.5.E1.3
I can upload it somewhere if needed.
I have performed another experiment:
I disassembled this G500B_OS.bin into three files NK.bin, TINYNK.bin and chain.bin using the Active Pearl scripts from here:

When you put these 3 files directly on SD card plus 4th file called chain.lst(lst is from list)
chain.lst is just text file, it is a list of the files which are on the SD car and is looks like this:

+NK.bin
TINYNK.bin
chain.bin

in that order, when the order is changed there is negative result.
I loaded these files that way and had the same result like with G500B_OS.bin
all the files are on My Flash Disk, just the rom is updated or downgraded all depends
which firmware is used.[/FONT]

It is just en exercise and trying to make it work properly.
It also lets you use your GPS as a fully working PDA, with all its potential.
You are using your GPS only while driving, at other times you can listen to music,
watch videos, read books, if you insert wireless SD card you can serf the net,
there is plenty of other things you can do, when you unlock the device.
