I really hope someone can help. There is almost no support for Medion products in the UK.
I have updated the Navigator software from 3.0 to 3.1, using the GoPal Assistant. Now, no maps can be loaded from the CD that came with the device.
I have downloaded some new maps, but they will not run either.
Can anyone suggest something? Maybe I need to upgrade the flash ROM?

Well, no problem. Just copy the bunch of maps directly onto your SD and into a folder named \MapRegions\, using an actual cardreader.
Will the 3.0 maps work with the 3.1 GoPal program. It seems that they do not.
Second question is: Is it worth upgrading Navigator AE3.0 to 3.1? Will it improve things much?
I would update the device to Navigator 5.5 if that is possible. Yes/no? Or is the cost so high it is better to buy a new GPS Navi?

No, it's only a technical up.

Yes (I'd suggest to buy the AE5.5). But in face of an upgrade (setup) you have to flash the CE (R15/R22) -> GoPal-Wiki resp. DL-Area

I will not upgrade to AE3.1, but maybe look at the price of 5.5.
I think I managed to upgrade the Rom to version 22 and have installed the software again. Is that the 'R22' that appears when I start the device (on the top line of the display)?
Where do you think is best to get 5.5 from? I tried some Google links, but they all went to download sites like Rapidshare that looked like pirate sites.
Another quick question ..... how can I update the Windows CE? It is version 5.0 (build 1400) at the moment and must be very old and unsafe. But there seems no easy way to update that.

- R22 is correct if your PNA has a contact bar
- start the GoPal-Assi and have a look into the shop, otherwise eBay i.e. is a good choice. But be careful, only with an original DVD you are safe with the license (and the whole edition including the *.apd's for the assi-library in the package)
- there is no need for updating the pure CE
Thanks Ralf. Wow! The prices are very high. To upgrade to the latest maps on version 3 will cost €59 and to update the software to Navigator 5.5 costs €99.
For that money, I can buy a new device in the UK. It will be basic, but new. Whereas my 465T is old and cannot run on battery any longer.
Ah well, it is still helpful to know that I have got the Flash ROM updated. Yes, it is the 465T model with the contact strip along the bottom.
