Hi,

das ist noch nicht ganz geklärt. Erst nach einen Gerichts Urteil wird man wissen wo es lang geht.

Hi,

the German law prohibits carrying location based devices in usable state and the use of devices to alert the driver of a speedtrap. The device can be confiscated and destroyed.

However there is no case know where this actually happended to navigation aids. It did happen with radar detectors.

Device in a usable state means to carry the speedtraps on the Navi, there is no need to proof the actual use of it. Usable state is not in a box in the luggage area, device turned off (so shipment of these is not prohibited).

Location based can include both radar and GPS based devices.

I would not try it myself, and as a matter of safety when I am not in a position to see if there are speed traps I don't speed.

Ich wollte es vor fast 30 Jahren nicht glauben, als mein "Gastvater" in England mir sein Leid klagte, dass es für Briten unglaublich schwer sei, eine Fremdsprache zu lernen, weil alle "Ausländer" sofort englisch sprechen würden, wenn sie mitbekämen, dass ihr Gesprächspartner aus Großbritannien stamme.
