MN6.5 ohne Hardware bei Navigon zu kaufen!

    Auf Sony U92 (CE 4.2) läuft auch mit Tricksen kein MN6.x .

    Ich habe keine enttäuschen Erwartungen ;D Bei mir läuft alles.... :D


    Ich hatte Jarnis posting so verstanden, dass die von Navigon angebotene Europakarte auf 2 GB SD inkl aktueller 6.5x SW für den 7100 generell nicht auf anderen Geräten funzt- da auf den Geräten irgendwelche Dateien fehlen. Hab ich was falsch verstanden ?(

    nö haste nicht, MN6.5 läuft eigentlich nur mit Sd karte reinstecken auf dem 7100 und dem 7110.

    Hallo, ich denke du hast es falsch verstanden und dehlya hat gerade die richtige Lösung gepostet.
    Der Sony hat das falsche Betriebssystem!??
    Oder aber auch nicht, wenn ich das folgende Statement von Volker _I. lese?
    Vielleicht würde MN6.5 ja doch auf dem Sony laufen bei richtiger Anpassung?
    Aber ganz ohne vorherigen Besitz einer MN6.x-Software sähe ich da auch Lizenzprobleme!

    Mag sein, Volker, auf dem Sony geht es aber nicht.


    MN6 läuft lt res.info nicht , auch nicht im Hintergrund, kurz die Sanduhr und etwas blinken einiger Rahmen und das wars.


    Fehlerlog (nach Installation und Start auf dem Mounted Volume (Flash des Sony) ) sagt folgendes:


    ERROR: CGUIResourceFileHandler:: Open: Could not open file '\Mounted Volume\MN6\ini_files/480x272/IntroAnimation.dat' from disk. Reason: 1. Mode: 2.

    I have the U.S. version of the Navigon 7100.


    This comes with US and Canada maps. I believe the other difference with the European 7100 and 7110 is that the US version has "Text to Speech."


    I have an important question related directly to this discussion thread.


    I wish to get European Maps. We travel to Europe twice per year. (sadly not Germany).


    For me the difference between the Download version and the Card version is more than for you in Europe, since the card is sent with VERY expensive shipping to the US.


    It is therefore almost double the price:


    Download: 99 Euros (87 without VAT)
    Card: 194 Euros (129 PLUS 65 shipping)


    I learning a lot from "pocketnavigation.de" using google translator but I need to know exactly what to expect. If I download and have problem there will be no refund or recourse.

    1) Will the download function?
    2) Will I have to make a few modifications in folder structure or xml files? I can do that.
    3) When asked in the download process which do I select as the owned product since 7100 is absent? the 7000? (if the maps for 16:9 are materially different for 4:3 device this is important)
    4) is the download an older version of the navtech maps?
    5) Are "reality view" files on the download product and is it likely I will be able to get them to function (I already have 6.5)


    Less important, but of interest:
    6) Is radars info on the download?
    7) European 7100 and 7110 have POIwarner "lite". We have no POIwarner. do radars depend on this.


    I am not trying to "put one over" or steal from navigon but the difference for me is not 30% more it is nearly 100% more for the card.


    If there is a bilingual German-English person here who can answer in English for precision for me I would very much appreciate it.

    First of all- sorry for my bad english :gap


    1) I think the download will function
    2) you don`t have to make modifications
    3) select the 7000 ( but I think you can also select another one)
    4) the download are the new maps 2007/2008
    5) there are no rv files on the download- reality view is not working with this map (for rv you must take the maps for the 7100 on the 2 GB SD)


    6+7) sorry- i don`t know.


    But please wait for repleys of other users- perhaps i made mistakes

    6)&7) No, Poi Warner lite is part of the software- not part of the maps- stationary radar info does not work without .ovm data and vice versa.


    1) Some guys did have lots of trouble downloading the maps with fresh installer- e.g. " Hash Wert Fehler " and other kinds of probs- I would go for the SD card offer described in this thread, for it might be difficult for you to get your money back, if it does not work.
