Comand 2.0 software update

    Hello All,


    Sorry for the language, but...


    I have bought the MY01 upgrade CD of e-bay, but am experiencing problems. I get to the upgrade screen where I can see the software version, and start the upgrade process. When pressing start the screen changes to a screen with a progress bar, and reads checking CD... After 4-5 seconds the COMAND unit turns off, and I will have to remove the fuse to be able to turn it back on.


    My car is a 00 W210 with COMAND 2.0


    Any help appreciated, and please feel free to write in German.

    Your COMAND have the bootloader-failure, the most models A210 820 4889 are affected with this bug. No Way to change the firmware per CD! :(

    What to do then? Will a dealer be able to upgrade it?

    When you are the first owner of the car and your Comand are standard of the production and not retrofit you have a little chance by your dealer he send your Comand to Bosch/Blaupunkt.


    The other way is to change the comand for ca. 1.500.-Euro by DC :(
