ZitatAlles anzeigenAccording to information we have obtained, Garmin is currently finalizing plans for a new GPS vehicle navigation system for their StreetPilot line. According to information we have seen, Garmins latest GPS in the StreetPilot series will be the Garmin StreetPilot 7200 and should be released sometime in October.
The Garmin StreetPilot 7200 contains the typical GPS vehicle navigation features as well as a few new features to automotive GPS systems.
For example you will be able to subscribe to and listen to XM Radio. You will also be able to connect external video devices to the unit watch video over the StreetPilot 7200 screen. Real-time traffic information will also be supported through an FM TMC Traffic Receiver ( the GTM 10 ). The Garmin StreetPilot 7200 also comes with a remote control.
Additional maps and data can be added through SD cards and a USB connection to your computer. The unit is 5.63 x 3.23 x 23 and weighs just under one pound. The screen will reportedly be suitable for watching videos on its 17:9 WQVGA touch screen TFT display that is 454 pixels by 240 pixels.
Using data from the FM TMC Traffic Receiver ( GMT 10 ) you will be able to modify routes around detours as well as creating custom avoids to alert the routing software of areas you would prefer the system to route around.
Typical XM Radio functions are expected to be available such as adding favorite artists, scanning, setting presets of favorite stations, etc. You can also output the XM Radio sound to your vehicles built-in speaker system.
