Tomtom 5 Favoriten-Editor erste Beta zum Testen

    I have nothing against creating a translation in other languages, problem is that you'd need the sourcecode and recompile the program, since not all texts used are exposed as resources. I didn't think anyone not speaking German would want to use the tool, so I didn't go thru the extra trouble of putting all strings in resources. :)

    Well , the version translated into French is already working on my computer ( I only have a little problem to translate a sentence ). Where do I have to send the file for test ? :D
    I can put the file to download on the forum of Gpspassion.

    How did you translate the texts included in the program's code? What sentence do you have problems with?

    I use 2 easy freeware , Ressource Hacker , EdHex , for the translation ( http://peid.has.it/ ).
    A web stranslator (http://trans.voila.fr/voila ).
    I dont understand this sentence :
    * Beachten Sie, daß Tomtom Änderungen an den Daten erst beim Beenden oder Kartenwechsel speichert! Es genügt dafür, den Kartenladebildschirm aufzurufen *
    * Datei auf PDA speichichern : Tomtom darf nicht gerade mit der fraglichen Karte laufen !
    Bitte Tomtom beenden oder in den Kartenladebildschirm wechseln ! Fortfahren ? *

    Gibt es so etwas auch fur tomtom3 vielleicht ?
    Und wist jemand ob 3 auch wie 5 das alles speichert im .cfg files ?
    Entschuldigung fur meinen slechten schreiben Deutsch hehe


    Your have received a warning, Tomtom saves changes only when it is closed or if you change the map! You only need to start the map loading portion for this *
    * Data saving to PDA: Tomtom must not be running with the current map from the map loading portion running or something like that.


    The last part I don't understand that good too, correct me if I didn't understand the other part too.

    hab' noch einen Erweiterungs-/Verbesserungsvorschlag - die Koordinaten sollten auch in Dezimaldarstellung zur Verfügung stehen, vielleicht einfach umschaltbar über das Menü. Und wenn man sie direkt kopieren könnte wäre auch nicht schlecht, dann könnte man sie gleich in seine eigenen OVI-Dateien 'reinschreiben.

    It runs very well, no matter of the tomtom version. Yet, about the maps,
    as soon as we use the map "France 6.32 plus",the cfg file is not readable anymore.


    The first writing on the cfg file makes it unreadable.


    As a piece of information, I am moderator on www.pocketphone.fr and we are many people
    to have made all kinds of tests and the conclusion remains the same : Going to the version "6.32 plus"
    of the France map makes the cfg file unreadable (which does not seem to be the case with maps of
    other countries).

    könntest Du das Datei-Format nochmal kurz erklären?
    Ich hab' jetzt schon ein wenig probiert, aber schaffe es nicht die Favoriten auszulesen. Wo/wie fangen denn die einzelnen Einträge an? Bzw. wie bekomme ich die Länge (Bytes) des Eintrags?

    je länger man hier im Forum stöbert, desto mehr tolle Tools findet man hier, die man binnen Minuten nicht mehr missen möchte.
    Erstmal ein dickes :respekt an Dich.


    Folgendes Feature wäre für mich noch sehr interessant ....


    Meine Freundin und ich haben jeder ein eigenes Navi. Ich würde gerne einzelne Einträge (z.B. Favoriten) beim Anderen eintragen.
    Siehst Du eine Möglichkeit Favoriten per Drag&Drop in ein anderes Fenster zu ziehen oder mit Copy&Paste zu arbeiten ?!?! Auch würde es die Arbeit mit mehrern Karten erleichtern ......
