external antenna mdpna150

    Is anyone using an external antenna for the mdpna150 ?
    If so please tell me the brand/type and the place to mount it in a car. I tried a Rikaline
    M-10305-M but that is working less good than the build-in antenna on the same location. I saw a message in this forum some time ago where somebody told he used an external antenne under the roof of the car, is that realy working ??

    That's the thread I ment, I was surpised by mounting the antenne "Unter der Dachhimmel", does that work? Because I want to order it in Holland I would like to know the brand and type number of a working ext. antenna.

    Hi,
    Sorry for using english,but my german is not up to par!I am using an antenna
    made by Haicom type GPS-AHI-101 (search for it on the internet)It works like a
    charm ,gets hold of 8-10 satelites in a very short time, it has a magnetic base
    and you can get it with different cable lengths.I paid about 22 euros in Sweden
    and it it makes a real dfference!!

    Looks good, already found a place to order it in the Netherlands. Where did you mount it in your car ?

    The antenne is working fine, after power up it finds the satelites much faster. I have placed it on top of the dashboard and the mdpna is now on the side of the "center stack" of my car.

    Good to hear that the antenna works.I am using mine to get reception
    in my mobile home (the internal antenna does not work at all there).I think
    it is an active antenna with some amplification.
