1. We are very sorry for the inconvenience, but we cannot do anything about
that. We are buying the map data and the points-of-interest database from
the best map supplier for Europe: Navigation Technologies
(http://www.navteq.com/). That is their present coverage of Europe. As soon
as new data is supplied, it will be included in our software.
2. You may experience a Bluetooth reception problem.
Please make sure the batteries of your phone and GPS are charged up and make
the distance between SX1 and the RoyalTek GPS as small as possible.
Furthermore, we strongly recommend that you update your SX1 firmware to the
latest version, system 12, see
http://www.my-siemens.com/com.aperto/MyS.../hq/SX1_Upgrade
_v12/main.html
If the above suggestions do not solve your problem, we may have to replace
your GPS receiver.
We have received a few reports similar to yours, of a Siemens SX1 failing
intermittently to communicate with the RoyalTek RBT-1000 GPS. We have tested
in that situation with other Bluetooth GPS devices, such as the Leadtek 9537
and find no problem then. Also, other Symbian phones such as the Nokia 66xx
and the Sendo X do not have a problem with the RoyalTek GPS. We herefore
suspect that the Bluetooth signal strength of (certain) SX1's in combination
with (certain) RoyalTek GPS's is marginal. We are currently investigating
this issue very actively in cooperation with Siemens.
Until this issue is resolved we can offer you to switch your RoyalTek
RBT-1000 Bluetooth GPS for a Leadtek 9537 Bluetooth GPS.
