Hi all,
after playing around for three days and reading a lot , i finaly founrd out how it works.
1. take ipaq
2. install active sync 3.7.1 and make it working with you pc as usual
3. buy a holux GR-230
4. install software it via bluetooth manager
5. usually the mouse connects through COM 6 with the IPAQ.
6. download the BTREG tool - and just install it on ipaq
7. install the gpsviewer from HOLUX (its on the support CD)
8. start bluetooth manager and establish connection
9. start gpsviewer - do a scan - you will see the mouse connects through
port COM6
10. now stop the GPSviewer and the connection to mouse
11. apply the registry hack BtBrowserenabled as described
at khoeniger (i don'remember the exact name)
12. install pocket fms
13. start the registry tool (PHM registry editor)
14. locate HkeyCurrentuser\Software\WAD\Pocketfms\settings
15. there locate key gpsval and set value nothing
16. now create key GPSBAUDRATE with value "4800 Baud" or to the value
you have seen with gpsviewer for your port
17. create a key GPS with value "COM6:" or set it to the value found with
gpsviewer.
18. close registry editor
19. start Bluetooth connection to you mouse - or best do a normal
reset on the IPAQ. Bluetooth manager should start automatically
20. go to bluetooth manager, start connection with mouse
21. now start pocket fms and feel free - it should work directly.
happy landings
