Change memory?

  • I don't know why, but I go for the underneath option:

I already have this program on my Medion ( my flash disk \ programma )

Like I understand I have to add something to the file MENU.XML, but the problem is that I can't find this ifle.

I have placed the *.tff files my storage card ( storage card \ fonts )

The reason that I would like to do this all is also because that I have installed "Navigon" on my Medion. I'm also using a mortscrip program which is installed in the directory: \\\WinCE Device\My Flash Disk\programme\

Could you please give me a start ............

You had a look at this: MN 6.5 auf Medion P4410 (Info-Box-Darstellung) ?

Then write those 3 commands into a textfile, named RestoreFonts.mscr, and copy this into your MortScript-Path. Copy the MortScript-autorun.exe and rename it to RestoreFonts.exe and give your *.mscr a doubleclick!
For testing purposes you have to delete or rename the *.ttf's.

  • I receive the message:

"restoreFonts.mscr" There is no application associated with restorefonts.
Run the application first, then open this file from within the application.

    What I did was:
    * created the file restorefonts.mscr with the text:

    Copy ( "\Storage Card\Fonts\arial.ttf", "\Windows\arial.ttf" )
    Copy ( "\Storage Card\Fonts\arialbd.ttf", "\Windows\arialk.ttf" )
    Copy ( "\Storage Card\Fonts\arialk.ttf", "\Windows\arialbd.ttf" )
    Copy ( "\Storage Card\Fonts\tahoma.ttf", "\Windows\arialbd.ttf" )
    Copy ( "\Storage Card\Fonts\tahomabd.ttf", "\Windows\arialbd.ttf" )

    run ("\My Flash Disk\programme\MortScript\RestoreFonts.exe" )

And I placed this file in the directory: \\\WinCE Device\My Flash Disk\programme\MortScript\

The I copied the file AutoRun.exe (from that directory) and named it: RestoreFonts.exe

After double klicking on restorefonts.mscr I received the message: "restoreFonts.mscr" There is no application associated with restorefonts.
Run the application first, then open this file from within the application.

    What did I do wrong?

  • billy01,

just curious: why the need to install additional fonts, and if those are necessary,
why not install them in the default folder for fonts, namely \Windows\Fonts
( You might visit this site too.)

Fonts residing in \Windows will not be recognized by OS.

  • At first, I've got my additional fonts for MN|6 in \windows and it works. But \Windows\Fonts is surely the appropriate folder. And \Windows\tahoma.ttf is IMO an original CE-Fonts.

Perhaps the reason is, you didn't obey CaseSensitivity

  • You are right, it should be:

    copy ( "\Storage Card\Fonts\arial.ttf", "\Windows\fonts\arial.ttf" )
    Copy ( "\Storage Card\Fonts\arialbd.ttf", "\Windows\fonts\arialk.ttf" )
    Copy ( "\Storage Card\Fonts\arialk.ttf", "\Windows\fonts\arialbd.ttf" )
    Copy ( "\Storage Card\Fonts\tahoma.ttf", "\Windows\fonts\arialbd.ttf" )
    Copy ( "\Storage Card\Fonts\tahomabd.ttf", "\Windows\fonts\arialbd.ttf" )

    run ("\My Flash Disk\programme\MortScript\RestoreFonts.exe" )

I would like to install these files in the windows\fonts map because I installed Navigon on my Medion to and that program needs the files.

I can copy them on the Medion but every time after a hard reset the are deleted and with the above ????? it should work.

    Maybe you can help me?

  • You had read my first comment? It doesn't matter where the fonts are, it works anyway!

Your problem now is MortScript -> CaseSensitivity (CamelCase)! And for what reason did you write the run command in your code?

My last command was an answer to jwoegerbauer

I will check and double check this.

And for what reason did you write the run command in your code?

Good question ?( I will remove it.

  • Zitat

Copy the MortScript-autorun.exe and rename it to RestoreFonts.exe

I assume that you mean the file which is installed in the directory \\\WinCE Device\My Flash Disk\programme\MortScript\autorun.exe ?

  • Maybe a stuppid question ........ but I have asked more :P

Don't I have to install another program on the Medion from Mortscript?

  • I can't answer all your questions regarding MortScript. Please read that manual.

If it allready runs on your PNA, it's ok. Otherwise you have to start MortScript.exe.

  • Why does RestoreFonts.exe have a size about 8192 B and the other ones 7680?

  • When I look into other *.mscr files I see much more text in the files.

Maybe that's the problem and do I miss some commando's
