Während meiner Auslandsreise habe ich im Flugzeug mit dem WSG-1000 mitgeloggt und ebenfalls die bisher schon berichteten Probleme (teilweise im C3 Modus) ebenfalls beobachtet.
Eine Zeit lang geht es ganz gut, aber dann hängt sich das Gerät auf. Akku raus und wieder rein hat dann erstmal geholfen.
Auf dem Rückflug nach Frankfurt war es wieder soweit, nur dass diesmal die Software im Gerät seit dem Absturz komplett verrückt spielt und nicht mehr zum Laufen zu bewegen ist. Akku raus, auch für mehrere Stunden, hilft nichts.
Der Absturz passierte nicht im C3 Modus - ich habe das Gerät nur eingeschaltet und im Pure Log Modus einfach loggen lassen.
Immerhin war der Teil der Software, der zum Auslesen des Track-Speichers benötigt wird, immer noch intakt, so dass ich wenigstens meine Tracks auf den Rechner sichern konnte.
Ich werde nun versuchen, die Firmware erneut aufzuspielen.
Im angehängten Bild sieht man, was das WSG-1000 nach dem Einschalten anzeigt. Wenn man dann versucht, in den Hauptmodus zu schalten, bleibt das Display komplett dunkel.
Offensichtlich überschreibt sich die Software selbst - irgendwo muss ein Speicherfresser bzw. ein Überlauf stattfinden.
@Wintec: bitte korrigiert den Fehler sobald als möglich!!

While travelling abroad I used my WSG-1000 to log my flights and me too I've experienced the problems others posted here reagrding the lockup in C3 mode.
For some time when logging during the flight everything was OK but then suddenly the device hangs. Taking out and inserting again the accu helped then.
But on my way back to Frankfurt the WSG-1000 hung and even reinserting the accu didn't help. The software on the WSG-1000 produced only nonsense and the device was not usable at all. Even taking out the accu for several hours didn't help.
In this case I didn't even switch to C3-mode, I've just started the WSG-1000 and kept the device running in pure log mode. Nothing else!
When I was back at home at least I was able to read all my log data to my PC, so the software doing the communication was still functioning.
I'll now try to reflash the firmware in order to bring back my device to life again.
At the attached picture you can see what the WSG-1000 shows after turning it on. After a long press on the right button to switch to the main mode you can see the calendar for about 2 secs and the the display goes dark. There is no chance to get the display back again.
For me it is obvious that there is a memory leak in the software as the software starts to overwrite itself.
@Wintec: please correct this error asap!
