Problem: US Navigon has no accessories and orders from international site include a 65 Euro surcharge for shipping. Therefore the only way to get an extra OEM (official) car charger is to pay 90 Euros.
Because Navigon is new to the US market no third party U.S. seller has chargers for the 7100 or 5100 series either.
I have a 5 volt 1 amp usb for one of our vehicles.

It works with every device I have tried but the 7100 which goes into data transfer mode.
Request: I would appreciate some advice on the required cable specifically or other devices that use the same charging scheme (perhaps a load resister across some of the 5 usb mini b pins?). There are non standard USB to USB mini cables for a few devices that also do this.
