    Hi Zero511,

    Regarding classification of files e.g.

    D Blitzer mobil variable
    D Blitzer mobil Ampel
    D Blitzer mobil Abstand
    etc.

If you can post the actual names of all the files and the groups they belong to then I will add the neccessary search patterns to the settings.ini file for the next release.

    For example:

    Type1 - Fixed
    xxxx.asc
    yyyy.asc

    Type2 - RedSpeed
    zzzz.asc

    Type3 - RedLight
    aaaa.asc

    ..............

    etc.

  • Hi,
I have written the patterns some weeks ago. There was a little discussion, whether the classification of two files is OK, but i think it's the best solution:

[Type1] Fixed Speed Camera (Gatso, Truvelo, Monitron etc.)
    ; pocketnavigaton.de
    D Blitzer fest #*.asc

[Type2] Red Speed Camera (checks passing red light and also speed through green)
    ; pocketnavigaton.de
    D Blitzer fest Ampel #*.asc

[Type3] Red Light Camera (checks passing red light)
    ; pocketnavigaton.de
    D Blitzer fest Ampel.asc
    D Blitzer mobil Ampel.asc

[Type4] Section Speed Camera (also known as SPECS or Distance cameras)
    ; pocketnavigaton.de
    D Blitzer fest variable.asc
    D Blitzer mobil variable.asc

[Type5] Mobile Speed Camera (regular camera vans and police checks)
    ; pocketnavigaton.de
    D Blitzer mobil #*.asc

  • Hi Zero511,

Thanks for that but can you also give me the actual file names. I need to know so that I can resolve any possible conflicts that may occur in the future with more pattern additions.

Just a word of warning, make sure you use the settings.ini file that came with version 2.x and not the version 1.x file.

You will lose some functionality in 2.x if you use the 1.x file, the SourceStructure=2 setting should be used. Maybe you could edit the "settings.rar" download in a previous post to reflect this. It's backwards compatible so won't cause problems with version 1.x.

  • Hi linknet,
I attached a JPG with the actual file names. The classification is the same as in my previous post with the patterns.
But there are different opinions how to classify "D Blitzer mobil variable" and "D Blitzer mobil Ampel". Perhaps you leave them out and let the user classify them manually or you classify them like in my proposal.

    P.S.
I have edited the mentioned download.

  • Hi Zero511

Thanks for the info and also for editing the download.

I can see the problem with "D Blitzer mobil Ampel" which, presumably, is a mobile red light camera.

The two I'm having more problems with are:
    "D Blitzer fest variable"
    "D Blitzer mobil variable"
Which you have included as "Section Cameras".

Are these actually "Section Cameras" i.e. Start and Finish cameras on a measured section of motorway/autobahn which measure the average speed over that distance, otherwise known as specs or distance cameras ?

In some of the other Blitzer downloads, Section Cameras are named like this:
Blitzer_80SC.asc - start of section with 80 kph limit
Blitzer_variabelSC.asc - start of section with variable or no speed value
    Blitzer_SCE.asc - end of section

So I would have included "D Blitzer fest variable" with the Fixed Speed Cameras as being a fixed camera with either variable or no speed value.

And I would have included "D Blitzer mobil variable" with the Mobile Speed Cameras as being a mobile camera with either variable or no speed value.

  • I hope these translations can help.

    D = Germany

    Blitzer = camera

fest = camera is fixed (not mobile)

    mobil = camera is mobile

variable = speed limit can vary (e.g. acc. to traffic load)

    So your conclusions were OK.

  • Thanks TheStarGate

So this is how I see the classification:

    Fixed Speed Camera:
    D Blitzer fest 10kmh.asc
    D Blitzer fest 20kmh.asc
    D Blitzer fest 30kmh.asc
    D Blitzer fest 40kmh.asc
    D Blitzer fest 50kmh.asc
    D Blitzer fest 60kmh.asc
    D Blitzer fest 70kmh.asc
    D Blitzer fest 80kmh.asc
    D Blitzer fest 90kmh.asc
    D Blitzer fest 100kmh.asc
    D Blitzer fest 120kmh.asc
    D Blitzer fest 130kmh.asc
    D Blitzer fest variable.asc

    Red Speed Camera:
    D Blitzer fest Ampel 30kmh.asc
    D Blitzer fest Ampel 50kmh.asc
    D Blitzer fest Ampel 60kmh.asc
    D Blitzer fest Ampel 70kmh.asc

    Red Light Camera:
    D Blitzer fest Ampel.asc

    Section Speed Camera:
    None

    Mobile Speed Camera:
    D Blitzer mobil 10kmh.asc
    D Blitzer mobil 20kmh.asc
    D Blitzer mobil 30kmh.asc
    D Blitzer mobil 40kmh.asc
    D Blitzer mobil 50kmh.asc
    D Blitzer mobil 60kmh.asc
    D Blitzer mobil 70kmh.asc
    D Blitzer mobil 80kmh.asc
    D Blitzer mobil 90kmh.asc
    D Blitzer mobil 100kmh.asc
    D Blitzer mobil 120kmh.asc
    D Blitzer mobil 130kmh.asc
    D Blitzer mobil variable.asc
D Blitzer mobil Ampel.asc - this is still a mobile camera so has to go here!

    Any comments would be welcomed.

  • Hi linket,
you are absolute right with the variable cameras, it was my fault. :)
I fixed it in my download.

"D Blitzer mobil Ampel.asc" is indeed a mobile camera, but not a mobile speed camera.
So the spoken warning might be confusing.

As there are only a few cameras in this category, namely 10 cameras :D, I prefer to classify them as "Red Light Cameras", but it's your decision.

    Hi Zero511
I have to classify them as mobile or else I will get complaints that the classification is wrong, i.e. mobile cameras appearing in the Red Light section, but I actually agree with you for my own use :)

Thanks for your help. Will include in download shortly.
