I have a big question: if I installed another navi software on a Lucca 5.3 (iGo 8.3) is it safe to make the firmware update? Or do I risk to loose/make inoperable the new soft?

Hello Optimvs,
I would always expect that other software will be influenced. -I don´t know iGo and how it will install, but I would recommend this way for a clean installation:
Uninstall the additional software in a way that you are sure to save any possible licence information of this software and to have the original operating system as clean and "original" as possible. -And to be safe in case you brick the hw and need to send it in for repair. (That will always be the most expensive way to update...)
Make the update of the Blaupunkt os and check the funktionality.
After you are sure everything still works correctly, reinstall the "additional" software. -In this manner you will be sure that the software will be untouched by the os update. -And you won´t possibly need another licence for your sw.
HTH...
Greetings!
