Ford Travelpilot 170

    Hi Guys, I'm new here, hope I can ask in Engllish, cause my
    German is not that good... I'm from Belgium.


    Here's my question, hope you can help me out...


    Recentley I have purchased a Ford Travelpilot 170. But I wanted to set 'the dynamic route guide" on.
    And then The device checked for TMC-supporting radiostations. But here in Belgium we have none.
    But now he keeps doing a "TMCCHECK" like every 10 seconds. And the sound of the radio is gone.
    I find this really unpleasant, so my question is; how do I disable TMC?

    How about setting "dynamic route guidance" to off?
    But ... I'm pretty sure I've seen TMC in Belgium before. Are you sure you don't have any, or is your map CD not supporting any in Belgium?

    no I did that, he is switched to "fast" route.


    but still keeps giving that TMC check....
    not fun :s can't listen to the radio. I've also tried to
    let him do that check but it keeps checking, for hours :o

    Try the aftermarket / Blaupunkt section, the operation should be the same to the non-Ford DX units.

    I have both manuals here. It doesn't say anything about how to stop TMC...

    switch the band to FM1 or FM2
    when you turn on Dynamic Route the Navi will switch the band to FMTMC
    and yes, there is no TMC in belgium.
