Dear Mr. Wagner,
We have received a few reports of a Siemens SX1 failing intermittently to communicate with the RoyalTek RBT-1000 GPS.
We have tested in that situation with other Bluetooth GPS devices, such as the Leadtek 9537 and find no problem then. Also, other Symbian phones such as the Nokia 66xx and the Sendo X do not have a problem with the RoyalTek GPS. We therefore suspect that the Bluetooth signal strength of (certain) SX1's in combination with (certain) RoyalTek GPS's is marginal. We are currently investigating this issue very actively in cooperation with Siemens.
The Leadtek 9537 Bluetooth GPS Receiver has been tested extensively with the Siemens SX1 and is working fine. Therefore this is the solution we offer until this issue is resolved.
Kind regards,
