TomTom has announced that it will be selling pre-installed maps on SD memory cards for its TomTom GO GPS system.
The According to TomTom its the first time that individual country maps have been made available for the car driver in such an easy to use format. The SD card includes a detailed map of the chosen country, as well as points of interest, such as restaurants and hotels.
We here at pocket-lint.co.uk arent too keen on the device, but have to admit this is a good idea, however at an estimated price of £100 per map it will only be for those who can afford the convenience.
Available from next month, countries available will be: Great Britain, Benelux (Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg), France, Italy, Germany, Alps (Austria, Switzerland and Southern Germany), Scandinavia (Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland) and Spain.
