Kabel für Dell X30 und GNS-Maus mit RJ11

    Hi@all,


    welches Kabel für die GNS 9810 TMC-Maus mit RJ11-Stecker benötige ich denn für den X30? Ist das Kabel für den X3 oder X5 kompatibel. Irgendwo stand mal X3 - aber ist das sicher???

    Is the X30 cradle/sync cable connector compatible with the X3 or X5 PDA/connector? I will use the X30 for GPS-navigation but my GPS-mouse vendor has only X3 and X5 connector cables.

    Thank you for using the Dell Community Forum.


    The Axim X30 uses the same cradle as the X3, and a connector for the X3 should fit an X30. You will need to contact the manufacturer of the GPS device for information on whether or not the GPS is compatible with the X30.

    Hi guys,


    I ordered a X30 (624 Mhz version) and now I'm looking for peripherals/accessories. On the Dell pages (german online shop) I currently cannot find any because it's either for X5 or for X3 but not for X30. Even if I choose the explanation links in the X30 configurator I get only infos about X5. I heard about that the X30 is almost the same as the X3 or X3i. So can I use any X3 parts (batteries, cables, pens, aso) for the X30 or not?


    Next thing is about Software. I want to extend the X30 by a bluetooth gps module (probably Holux GR-230) and use that with the TomTom navigator software. Can anybody tell me, if this is possible or if I need special versions of the software? Are there general problems with Mobile Windows 2003 or can I use any software for this platform?


    >>>To the Dell guys: It would be great, if you would offer something like a compatibility guide or at least place a comment on the parts (e.g. what part is usable with what hardware).

    Thank you for using the Dell Community Forum.


    Many things that are designed for the Axim X3 will work with the X30. The connector on the bottom of the two units are the same, so you can use cables for the X3 on the X30. I would not buy any battery that was not designed specifically for your unit. Some parts, like the stylus are the same across the entire Axim line.


    I do not have information on 3rd party software or hardware, but the forum is one of the places where you may be able to find the information, and it is a good place to ask the question.
