GPSAssist for TomTom Navigator

  • Karl,

most of the installation errors are because of problems with the PPC Installer and Microsoft bugs. Unfortunately this can't be helped for time being. As long as you select 'overwrite all' and 'no' for the pimstore.dll everything is fine. People that need more info on why this all is can contact me directly.

When GPSAssist starts up it is doing several things

1 - Launch TTN and wait for a response from TTN
2 - Load several resources including contacts information
    3 - Load GUI components
4 - Verify several other things (like check for correct database support etc..)

GPSAssist should be able to find the location of the TTN maps and store the OV2 files there.

Only the contacts that you have copied GPS Coordinates to are shown. POI Warner does things the other way around but it comes down to the same thing.

The component used to display the file selection box (a Microsoft Component) only allows to make selections out of the My Documents folder and some others. Some say it's a Microsoft bug, others say it's a Microsoft feature. I will be implementing the file selection dialog otherwise.

    Thanks,

    Jo.

  • Hi Joe,
I just installed your brandnew version. Seems very good!

It now reads ov2s from my harddisk, but I cannot see my points in the POI Editor. Nor import them as ov2 to a new file.
