Hallo,
ich versuche gerade Karten von Mapsource zum Garmin Mobile PC zu übertragen
(City Navigator Südafrika 6) und bekommen immer folgende Fehlermeldung :
"Bei der Kommunikation mit dem Garmin-Gerät ist ein Problem aufgetreten. Die Syntax für Dateinamen, Verzeichnisnamen oder die Datenträgerbezeichnung ist falsch"
was mache ich falsch?
Noch eine Nebenfrage: Gehen nur Citynavigator Karten oder auch andere?

Ich habe MapSource auf den gleichen Notebook wie MobilePC installiert. Die Karten kann ich in MapSource ansehen aber wie bekomme ich diese in Garmin PC ?
Mit Übertragen geht es wohl nicht, da ich kein Garmin USB-Gerät am Notebook angeschlossen habe.

There are several options and unfortunately, the answer is, "it
depends." Here are a few things to consider. I'll assume you live in
North America.
If you are mostly hiking, you will probably be more interested in Topo
maps. Garmin has several options. They have a 100k maps which do not
have as much detail, but cover more area. You can load the entire US
onto your GPS. The 24k maps have higher detail, but cover smaller
regions. The Topo maps include streets, but they are not routable, so
you can't really use them to create a driving route.
If you are more interested in urban caching and want your GPS to
calculate driving routes, you will need to get City Navigator. It also
includes points of interest such as restaurants, hotels, etc., so it's
more for driving.
As for geocaching, either type of map will work. The caches display the same on the maps.
