    The original player is terribel! Try to install the TCPMP Player who can play all formats.

    ?! can really install anothers softwares ? this is a nice news!!!
    but how can I do this ? I just download TCPMP (0.72rc1)...
    my problem now is install inside this medion gps and see the icon on the launch programs... hilfe!!! ;)

    In case you understand German I would suggest you use search function (Suche) within this forum.
    If not I suggest you find an international forum (e.g. gpspassion.com).

    REALLY THANKS...
    I try little to search and read..but is really a JUNGLE for me...
    so..little experiments ;)
    with microsoft ACTIVESYNC , and usb cable I have read inside the MD96930...I have install TCMP videoplayer...and now I CAN PLAY all the divx (mpeg4) files... really good!
    Only one question...inside the directory I'v read "WINDOWS"...so this model work lilce a pocket pc? but who can say to me IF I can "open" windows and work on the normal desktop (inside medion ofcourse) ??? is possible ?

    In the Menus of the skinners there is normally an icon to open the explorer and to work inside the file system - or - you can install TotalCommander
    BUT: Take care of what you are doing!!!


    And it is not a full windows its just windows CE 5.0 Core (the minimal version of WinCE)

    for any edit I must work with the syncro program on my pc and connect (usb) the medion... right?

    For last , I like ask ypu a last please... if you can "open" my eyes about:


    1) whitch kinf of maps COMPATIBLE (radars,ampels ecc...) extra can I upload on my MEDION , and where found ?
    2) Is possible to install any emulator/game or sometuhnig another APPS on this model ?

    I have the 0.81 Version


    Easy Way


    Connect your Device with your Computer and delete the files in your Videoplayerdirectory (where is the original VideoPlayer exe). Then install in this driectory the TCPMP Player, rename the EXE.File in VideoPlayer.exe, make a Hardreset and have fun!


    FOR EXPERTS


    You must install the TCPMP Player in "MyFlashDisk" or "Storage Card" (because after Hardreset all Data set to the original status outside these directions).
    After this create a new menu entry by edit the XML.File like this:


    The XML Files and the associated button picture you will find in the Directory
    "My Flash Disk\navigation\menu\desktop\".
    With a Editor you can create new entrys.
    For Example:


    <?xml version="1.0"?>


    <Application order="1020">
    <Icon image="movies.png"/>
    <Execute path="\My Flash Disk\programme\TCPMP 0.81\PLAYER.EXE" />
    <Text>DIVX usw.</Text>
    </Application>


    Rot : sequence of Buttons / increase only in 20er steps 1020, 1040, 1060 ...


    grün : assosiated Button Picture/Symbol


    blau: Direction to the exe file


    braun : Textoutput on the Button


    The Button Picture you can make with the Program Paint.net

    You have the possibility to launch the explorer and open other programs but there aren't a lot of working programs (see 2)

    If you think about a radar warner or pois, there is the POI-Warner (not free) and the POI-Observer from the navifriends. I don't know if the observer is working yet, but both should work.

    How I said, this is not a fully windowsCE. There aren't many programs working. But take a look at the GoPal-Wiki. It is in German but there are many links to programs working (Lauffähig in german) and not testet (Ungeprüft in german). Perhaps you can find something interesting.

    so...Höfer have selfo for yesterday this model of MEDIO GPS...


    but...is the same story always...


    when I buy something MEDION... GRAN PRIX....SILVA ecc...
    I must see Witch kind of model are really...so if I can found one firmware better...or in this case... what SOFTWARE, and what TRICKS & HACKS I can make...

    Wie siehts mit Anschlüsse aus, kann man aktiv Cradle anschließen?
