Becker und Schottland?!?

    Hi!



    Ich beabsichtige u.a. für meinen Schottland - Urlaub im nächsten Jahr ein Navi zu kaufen.


    Hat jemand Erfahrungen mit der Becker Software in Schottland?


    Was ist dort besser? NT oder TA?

    Ich war mit meinerm Becker und NavTech-Software schon mal in Schottland. Es war wirklich beeindruckend. Die Navi hat im gesamten Königreich jedes kleine Nest und meist auch noch die Straßen gekannt. Zum Beispiel hat sie mich in Inverness sicher bis vor die angegebene Hausnummer meines B&B geführt. Und das war vor ca. 2 Jahren - also wohl noch Version 4 oder 5. Mit der aktuellen 6er Version kann es also nur noch besser sein. Wie es mit der Tele-Atlas-Software aussieht, kann ich allerdings nicht sagen.

    Living in Scotland I can confirm that the NT V6 software works very well, with details of all roads, even the smallest.


    I have tried the TA V7, and can report that it works badly in Scotland with roads missing and poor directions.


    I assume that you will be getting the ferry direct to Rosyth? I can highly recommend it, and it saves having to drive through England.

    Thank you very much for your answer. I will buy a navi with the NT software next year.



    But I think I`ll have to drive through England (i will close my eyes ;-)) cause it is cheaper to take a ferry to newcastle and drive by car to scotland....
