Externe POIs in die TomTom iPhone-App einbinden

Hrm, komisch. Zweimal kontrolliert. Es sind png's. Werde nochmal alle austauschen. Hast du denn eigentlich auch die wie im Originalthread beschrieben mit 22 und 44 (die 44er dann mit X2 hinten) Pixeln? Hier steht davon ja nichts.

EDIT: Könnte das vielleicht an den Mapsettings liegen? Ich habe ja die 860er Version. Und die Mapsettingsdatei ist ja für die 855er, oder?

Vielleicht bekommt es ja jemand hin seine funktionierenden 22x22 und 44x44 .png´s mal hier hoch zuladen.
Das wäre nett und spart uns ne Menge Arbeit.

Ich werd noch irre. Jetzt alles versucht, umbenannt in .png, umgewandelt in .png, in verschiedenen Größen...bekomme es immer nur so hin, wie auf dem Screenshot angezeigt. Mist, wo ist da der Wurm drin?

Bei mir hat die Anleitung funktioniert.

Allerdings hab' ich nun das Problem, das die Zieleingabe nun nicht mehr möglich ist. Bei Eingabe des Heimatortes stürzt die App ab.

Ich denke das mein Problem mit der mapsettings.cfg zusammenhängt, die anscheinenend nicht mit der DACH-Version kompatibel ist. Gibt es eine Lösung für mein Problem?

Ich habe die DACH-Version und die Zieleingabe funktioniert. Daran sollte es also nicht liegen. Hast du mal versucht, das Land zu ändern und wieder zurück? Das hatte ich mal und danach ging es.

Sorry for use of English. A few thoughts:

When installing the mapsettings.cfg file make sure the TomTom app is NOT running in the back ground.

When taking a MapSettings.cfg file from a PND make sure it is renamed to mapsettings.cfg (all lower case) or it doesn't work.

paloema, I have e-mailed a set of 44x44 icons for use on the iPhone4, these display better on the map, the same icons are attached to this thread, the file names are set to match the PGPSW UK speed zoned database, if you want more icons to cover higher numbers please let me know as I can soon create them and upload. Note to use these icons you will need to rename the file name to match your ov2 file.

The use of 22x22 icons is not recommended for iPhone4 as they are too small on the display 44x44 work much better.

The use of the POI file name with _X2 added to it is to identify the icon used for the warning (top left), this can be different to the main icon or it can be the same, user choice.

Nee, daran liegt es leider auch nicht. Wenn ich das Land ändern möchte, stürzt TomTom ebenfalls ab (App wird geschlossen).

Update:

Nach dem Ändern des Landes und einem Neustart der App geht's nun plötzlich! Danke für deine Hilfe!

Komme der Sache näher. Wenn bei mir keine _X2-Icons mit drauf sind, geht es nicht. Aber schön zeigt er sie mir bisher auch noch nicht mit X2 an, ist immer noch sehr klein links oben. Ich arbeite dran.

Klappt das wohl auch mit dem Erdgasoverlay? Wie müsste dann denn wohl die mapsettings.cfg aussehen?

iPhone4 using 44x44 icons, the top left warning is too small, having tried various icon sizes it would appear the app doesn't work correctly in the way it handles POI warnings when on Retina display:

The above screen capture also shows the two different icons in use at the same time, note the _X2 (top left) is different to that shown on the map.

For iPhone3G and 3GS when loaded with 22x22 icons for the map and 44x44 for the _X2 icons you get this:

This appears much better, but remember the POI Warnings are not an official part of the software - Mike
