Kompatibilität der Nüvi-Tipps - MITMACHEN!

Hallo Nüviisten... und StreetPiloten!

Wie sich ja inzwischen herumgesprochen hat, laufen die "Nüvi-Tipps, die nicht im Handbuch stehen" auch auf einigen der Garmin StreetPilots. Und auch die Palette der Nüvis hat sich seit den Anfängen der Tipps stark erweitert. Also taucht häufiger die Frage auf: "Kann ich diesen Tipp auf mein Navi anwenden?"

Dieser Thread soll das klären. Ich möchte euch, wann immer ihr einen der Tipps auf euer Gerät angewendet habt, bitten, die Kompatibiliät (und Inkompatibiliät!) hier anzugeben. Ich werde dann dieses erste Posting aktualisieren und es damit zu einem Nachschlagewerk für Nüvi-Tipp-Benutzer machen. Ist ein Tipp für alle Geräte komplett, wechselt er in dunkelblaue Farbe. Wenn alle Lücken geschlossen sind, kann man auch darüber nachdenken, die Checkliste direkt in die Tipps zu integrieren - aber erst dann.

Gebt bei euren Postings bitte den Tipp (Nummer reicht schon) und euer Navi an. Bei Anleitungen, die sich auf bestimmte Programme wie z.B. MapSource oder WebUpdater beziehen, bitte auch deren Versionsnummer. Und falls euch im Tipp eine Unklarheit oder gar ein Fehler auffallen sollte, schreibt den bitte dazu!

Ich hoffe auf eure Mitarbeit, sie kommt allen Usern zu Gute! Bei der Gelegenheit darf ich mich bei allen bedanken, deren Experimentierfreudigkeit und Pfiffigkeit überhaupt erst dazu geführt hat, dass die Nüvi-Tipps 100 Nummern alt geworden sind. Ohne euch würden sie gar nicht existieren. Ich will keine speziellen Namen nennen; die befreffenden Jungs wissen schon, dass ich mich besonders bei ihnen bedanke.

Tipp ist kompatibel zu C510 FW 5.4

Beim Tipp selbst bin ich mir betreffend der Abdeckung der Standardbasemap nicht sicher.

Der Zusatztipp mit der WorldBasemap funktioniert mit dem C510:

Wie wird die Worldmap "installiert"? Einfach im Garmin-Ordner auf dem Gerät die Datei "gmapbmap.img" gegen die gleich benannte Worldmap austauschen oder sie, wie in Tipp 74 beschrieben, in "gmapsupp.img" umbenennen.

Wie wird die Worldmap "installiert"? Einfach im Garmin-Ordner auf dem Gerät die Datei "gmapbmap.img" gegen die gleich benannte Worldmap austauschen oder sie, wie in Tipp 74 beschrieben, erst in "gmapsupp.img" umbenennen und dann als Ergänzung zur vorhandenen "gmapbmap.img" aufs Gerät kopieren.

Nein mal ohne Scherz, Du könntest ja in Die Nüvi Startseite reingehen (editieren!), fast den ganzen Artikel (die Überschriften mit den Links) kopieren.

Hier auf der ersten Seite editieren und einfügen, den unnötigen Balast rauswerfen,
und dann nur die Überschriften incl. Link an die richtigen Stellen kopieren - das macht dann wohl die meiste Arbeit.

Allles in allem sag ich mal so ca. 20min Arbeit. ;D

Aber geht natürlich auch so. Mehr Feedback bekommst Du aber wahrscheinlich wenn Du es den Lesern so richtig bequem machst.

Mach du das doch! Einfach das 1. Posting in den Tipps zitieren, dort die Informationen zwischenspeichern und mit der hier kopierten Liste in einem Word-Dokument verbinden. Das schickst du mir dann und ich füge es ein. Dauert auch bestimmt nicht länger als 2-3 Stunden...

Schaun wir mal, vieleicht dann nach dem Mittagessen.

@ rhWien: Man dankt! Allerdings würden mich die Nummerierungsfehler interessieren; betreffen die die Nüvi-Tipps? Dann sollte ich sie dort auch ausmerzen.
